It’s hard to believe, but the summer is already half over!

June was a whirlwind of personal appearances, including a capacity crowd at the Norfolk Tavern in Port Dover, Waterford Foodland’s 3rd Annual Car Show, our first visit to Buck’s Tavern in Brantford and an absolutely incredible private party experience at a secret tropical oasis in Waterdown.

This month hasn’t been any less hectic, with July 1st seeing us kick off Brantford’s Canada Day Celebration at Lions Park. It was the biggest stage we have ever played on and it was quite a thrill to be included on the same bill as Circle 5, the 905 Band, Junkhouse and Alan Frew of Glass Tiger.

On Friday, July 3rd, we headed back down to Port Dover for round two at the Norfolk Tavern and were treated to another packed house. Saturday, July 4th saw us hitting the highway to Sparta, cranking out the Classic Rock and Top 40 to the crew at St. Thomas Raceway Park.

We are happy to report we were a high octane hit!

It was back to familiar territory on Sunday, July 12th, as we returned to the Fisherville Lions Community Centre for our 4th consecutive year entertaining at the Haldimand Classic Ford Truck Club Show & Shine.

Unlike last year, the weather was absolutely perfect and we were treated to a new attraction, the Canadian Model ‘T’ Assembly Team, who dismantled then reassembled the 1927 vehicle in 10 minutes!

On Saturday, July 18th over 300 vehicles and 10,000 spectators made their way to a hot and humid downtown core for the very first Brantford Powerfest Car Show & Street Festival. We were smack dab in the middle of it all, pounding through 3 power sets on the Bell Stage in Harmony Square.

Both Colborne and Dalhousie St. were completely closed as well as parts of Market, George and Charlotte to make way for high-powered dragsters, muscle cars, antiques, bikes and trucks.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Chris and Trish Biro, Ray Knight and the entire team at RPM Magazine for allowing us to be part of this magnificent local event.

We closed out the month with a stop at Emerald Lake RV Resort & Waterpark in Puslinch on Saturday, July 25th. It was our inaugural appearance at this family-friendly venue and we weren’t quite sure what to expect. 65-70 people kept their cool and rocked out with us in the air conditioned pavilion.

The owners were quite impressed with our performance and we hope to be back to entertain the park residents next season.

We’ll enjoy some downtime on the Civic Holiday weekend, but after that August will be another busy one, kicking off on Saturday the 8th with our return to the Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest.

We have always been strong supporters of this organization and event and are honoured to have been asked back to open for the Saturday evening headliners, Jukebox Jury.

Our friends the Tyler Wilson Band are on ahead of us, so be sure to show up early in the afternoon and support another fine local act. To view the weekend’s complete entertainment line-up, visit brantfordribfest.com.

Additional August highlights include the Ford & Mercury Truck Nationals in Arthur on Saturday, August 15th, a private housewarming at band buddies’ Tammy and Barry’s new place and Kristine and Paolo’s wedding in Hagersville on Saturday, August 29th.
