It’s hard to believe, but February wraps up this week!

Looking back on a busy month, Valentine’s Day saw us bring the Best Live Music, Bar None! back to Haldimand County, as we performed during a fundraising dinner and dance at the Hagersville Community Center.

It was an exceptional evening, featuring a fabulous roast beef dinner with all of the trimmings, silent auction and plenty of dancing. In fact, we had them up on their feet from the very first chord and they never left the floor!

In honour of love’s official holiday, we took the time to add some new slow jams to our sets, including ‘To Love Somebody’ by the Bee Gees, ‘Whiter Shade of Pale’ by Procol Harum and ‘You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling’ by the Righteous Brothers.

The reviews from all members of the Hagersville District Lions Club were overwhelmingly positive and rumour has it that they want to work with us again on another event before the year’s end.

In addition to this special appearance, there has been a lot happening behind-the-scenes over the last few weeks. On Monday, February 9th, we shared a major springtime show announcement.

We’re thrilled to be introducing a brand new event on Thursday, April 2nd to kick-start your Easter weekend, the BarCode Bunny Hop, a semi-formal dinner and dance at the landmark Sherwood Restaurant.

They’ll be serving up their famous perch, pickerel and roast beef smorgasbord and we’ll be heating up the historic Nottingham Room with dance contests, door prizes and more!

Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased from the band, Brantford Music Centre and the Sherwood Restaurant. Only 120 are available and we’re anticipating this event will sell out, so don’t wait until the last minute!

Up next, join us Tuesday, March 17th for our 3rd consecutive St. Patrick’s Day at the Piston Broke Gastro Pub. Wear all of your finest green attire and saturate your liver with some smooth green suds!
